PF Balance Check: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has announced a cut in the interest rate on the amount deposited in the PF account. After this decree, instead of 8.5 percent, only 8.1 percent interest will be available on the amount deposited in the PF account.
Provident fund is a big deposit for any working employee. UAN number is issued for PF. On the basis of UAN number, you can easily do PF money transfer, PF balance check and PF withdrawal.
Universal Account Number (UAN)
Universal Account Number ie UAN Number (UAN) is given to the PF account holders. This number is of 12 digits. This number is issued by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). After the system of UAN number is implemented, you are given a UAN number once or once in the company in which you work. This number remains the same throughout life.
It is seen many times that people forget their UAN number. If you want to deposit or withdraw money in your EPFO account and you have forgotten the UAN number then there is no need to worry. Because, you can do both these things even without UAN.
Check pf balance without UAN
- First of all log in by visiting epfindia.gov.in.
- Now click on the option of Click here to know your EPF balance.
- Here a new page epfoservices.in/epfo/ will open in front of you.
- Now select Member Balance Information here.
- After that select your state and click on your EPFO office link.
- Here you have to enter PF account number, name and registered mobile number.
- Now click on submit and you will see PF balance.
- After this your UAN will be activated.
- You will receive the number and password on your mobile.
- You can check PF balance only after 6 hours of UAN activation.
Check balance like this
- You can also check your PF account balance by sending a message or giving a missed call.
- You will have to SMS EPFOHO UAN.. to 77382-99899 number from your registered mobile number.
- After sending the message, EPFO will reply to you and tell your balance.
- You can check EPFO balance through missed call.
- For this, you have to make a missed call on the number 011-229014016 from your registered mobile.
