After the continuous softening in the prices of crude, there was a sharp rise today. Crude oil has become costlier than $1 in the global market. Its effect was also seen on the prices of petrol and diesel released on Friday morning and today the retail prices of oil have changed in many cities.
However, oil prices remain stable even today in the four metros of the country like Delhi-Mumbai. According to government oil companies, petrol has fallen by 22 paise and has become Rs. In Ghaziabad too, today petrol became cheaper by 18 paise and reached Rs 96.26 a liter while diesel became cheaper by 17 paise to Rs 89.45 a litre. Petrol price in Gurugram today increased by 6 paise to Rs 97.10 a litre, while diesel has gone up by 5 paise to Rs 89.96 a litre.
Talking about crude oil, its prices are showing a rise in the last 24 hours. The price of Brent crude has increased by about $ 1 to $ 72.70 per barrel. The rate of WTI is also running with an increase today at $ 68.77 per barrel.
Petrol-diesel prices in all four metros
- Petrol Rs 96.65 and Diesel Rs 89.82 per liter in Delhi
- Petrol Rs 106.31 and Diesel Rs 94.27 per liter in Mumbai
- Petrol Rs 102.63 and Diesel Rs 94.24 per liter in Chennai
- Petrol Rs 106.03 in Kolkata and diesel Rs 92.76 per liter
Rates changed in these cities
- Petrol in Lucknow has become Rs 96.35 and diesel Rs 89.55 per litre.
- Petrol has become Rs 96.26 and diesel Rs 89.45 per liter in Ghaziabad.
- Petrol has become Rs 97.10 and diesel Rs 89.66 per liter in Gurugram.
New rates are released every morning at 6 am
Every day at 6 am, there is a change in the prices of petrol and diesel. The new rates are applicable from 6 am onwards. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles from the original price. This is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel appear so high.
