GST is not levied on fuel price. VAT (Value Added Tax) is levied on it by the state government. Due to this, their prices are different in all cities. In such a situation, the driver is advised to fill the tank only after checking the latest rates.

The price of one litre petrol in Delhi is Rs 94.76 and the price of diesel is Rs 87.66 per litre.
In Mumbai, the price of petrol is ₹ 103.43 per litre and diesel is priced at ₹ 89.95 per litre.
In Kolkata, the price of petrol is ₹ 104.93 per litre and diesel is ₹ 91.75 per litre.
The price of petrol in Chennai is Rs 100.73 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 92.32 per liter.
