In Madhya Pradesh, pensioners and family pensioners of urban bodies will be given dearness relief at the rate of 189 percent on basic pension/family pension in 6th pay scale and 28 percent in 7th pay scale from August 1, 2022.

At present, they are getting dearness relief at the rate of 174 percent and 22 percent respectively. In this regard, orders have been issued by Commissioner Urban Administration and Development Bharat Yadav. The rates of dearness relief payable to state government pensioners and family pensioners were increased by the state government last day.

Let us inform that the state government has given instructions to the pensioners to pay the approved dearness relief to all the departments by sanctioning dearness relief on pension, since then the departments have started issuing orders.

The state government has increased the dearness allowance of government employees of the sixth pay scale by 7%. From August 1, 2022, the rate of increased DA will be applicable from now (payment month September 2022). Dearness allowance is being given at the rate of 196% from March 01, 2022 (payment month April 2022). Now it will increase to 203%.

At present, DR is approved at the rate of 174% on basic pension / family pension in the sixth pay scale from May 1 (payment month June 2022) to the pensioners / family pensioners of the state government and at the rate of 22% in the seventh pay scale.

From August 1, 2022, the DR rate will be 189 percent in the 6th pay scale and 28% in the 7th pay scale. The increased rate will be payable from September 2022. DR will also be payable on additional pension payable to pensioners of age 80 years or more. DR will be payable on superannuation, retirement, disability and compensation pension.
