The hike in DA Hike will be approved in the Modi Cabinet meeting to be held on Wednesday. It is believed that on the basis of AICPI of the last six months, there will be an increase of 4 percent in the dearness allowance. The current DA is 38 percent. In the coming time, it will increase to 42 percent.
The new DA will be applicable from January 2023.
It is expected to be announced by PM Modi after the meeting of the Union Cabinet on Wednesday. The increased dearness allowance from the government will be applicable from January 2023. Employees will get arrears of two months in the salary of March. The hike in dearness allowance will be formally approved in the cabinet meeting to be held on Wednesday. It was expected to be approved before the first Holi.

It is expected to be approved by PM Modi himself in the cabinet meeting. After this it will be notified by the Finance Ministry. Sources claim that the employees will get the increased dearness allowance in the March salary only. Since this allowance is to be implemented from January 2023, the employees have to get arrears for January and February.
1000 rupees will increase every month
Dearness Allowance (DA) will increase from 38 percent to 42 percent. The total increase in Pay Band 3 (with a basic salary of Rs 18,000) will be Rs 720 per month. That is, arrears of Rs 720X2=1440 for January and February will also be given along with March salary. If your basic salary is Rs 25,000, then at present you will be getting dearness allowance of Rs 9500. But when DA increases to 42 percent, it will become Rs.10,500. That is, there will be an increase of Rs 12,000 in your salary annually.
