Government: Continuous steps have been taken by the government for the interests of the people. The state and central government also run different schemes to provide relief to the people.
Now recently an announcement was made by the Government of Madhya Pradesh for the benefit of the people. Lakhs of people of the state have got relief from this. In fact, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced that contractual employees in the state would get the same benefits as permanent government employees. This includes job regularization, pension, equal pay, gratuity, health insurance and leave facilities.
Announcement of MP government
The announcement comes after years of protests by contract workers. About 1.5 lakh contractual employees in Madhya Pradesh will get the same benefits as permanent government employees and will be exempted from the process of annual contract renewal, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced recently.
Equal Pay
Chauhan made several announcements in favor of contract workers, who have been protesting for the last three years for regularization of jobs. CM Chouhan said, “Fifty percent posts will be reserved for contract employees in the recruitment. They will get salary at par with regular employees, gratuity will be provided during retirement. They will get health insurance, they will also get all leave facilities including maternity leave.
National Pension Scheme
The Chief Minister said that the contract employees would now be given the benefit of the National Pension Scheme (NPS) and would be offered health insurance like regular government employees. Apart from this, in case of death of an employee, children of contract employees will be eligible for employment on compassionate grounds.
Were already demanding
Tell that for the last three years, the contract workers were demanding to regularize the jobs and give equal benefits to the employees of the state government. Speaking at a convention of contract employees in Bhopal, CM Chouhan made several announcements including pension, health insurance and gratuity benefits.
