Old Pension Scheme Update: With the announcement of the election results of two states, the expectations of the state employees of Himachal Pradesh regarding the old pension scheme have increased.
In the manifesto issued by the Congress for the Himachal elections, it was promised to implement the old pension scheme after coming to power. Now in other states of the country too, the enthusiasm regarding the old pension scheme has intensified. Assembly elections are to be held in Madhya Pradesh next year. At present there is a BJP government in the state. In such a situation, the opposition parties are making tempting promises.
Kamal Nath tweeted
Former Chief Minister of the state and former state president Kamal Nath said that if the Congress comes to power in the state next year, the old pension scheme will be restored. He said that the old pension scheme will be replaced by the ‘New Pension Scheme’ implemented by the Center in 2004. Kamal Nath said in a tweet on Sunday that the pension withheld by the Shivraj government will be restored once the Congress government is formed in Madhya Pradesh.
‘Kamal Nath backs down after making promises’
BJP secretary Rajneesh Agarwal took Kamal Nath’s promise lightly. He said that the history of Kamal Nath has been of making promises to the people and not fulfilling them. He is known for going back on the promises made before the elections. This was seen in the last 15 months of his rule in MP. They change after coming to power. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken several steps for the welfare of government employees. He also said that Kamal Nath had stopped all the schemes started by the BJP government after coming to power.
