Now Paytm Bank (PPBL) has said to close some Paytm wallets. According to an estimate, this announcement made by Paytm can affect thousands of customers. Paytm has said that wallets with zero balance and no transaction for more than a year will be closed on July 20, 2024.
Notice will be issued 30 days in advance
According to the information given on the website of Paytm Payments Bank, inactive Paytm wallet users will be issued a notice 30 days before the wallet is closed. In this information, it was told that all those wallets in which there has been no transaction for the last one year or more and whose balance is zero, will be closed from July 20, 2024.

You can use the balance without any hassle
Earlier in the month of March, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had refused to allow PPBL to accept new deposits or approve credit transactions. The bank made it clear that you can use or withdraw your wallet balance without any hassle. After these instructions from Paytm, the safety of the money deposited in your account or wallet will not be affected in any way.
Paytm Payments Bank advised customers to activate or close their inactive accounts and wallets. If this is not done by the last date, the account and wallet will be closed automatically.
