People need a passport to travel abroad, but this question also comes in the mind of some people that can they travel abroad even without a passport? So let us tell you what are the rules for traveling abroad in India.

Passport required

Different countries have different rules regarding foreign travel. In such a situation, people need a passport to travel abroad. In the absence of passport, people cannot go to other countries. However, let us tell you that people from India can travel to some countries even without a passport. Passport is not required to go to some countries from India. You are allowed to travel to these countries only with one of your photo ID cards. These two countries are Bhutan and Nepal.

You can take Voter ID card to go to Bhutan. At the same time, children will have to carry their birth certificate or ID card (Aadhaar card) of the educational school. On the other hand, if you want to go to Nepal, you can avail air service from all major airports of India to Kathmandu, Nepal. According to Nepal’s advisory, Indians only need such documents which prove their Indian citizenship. For this, they can show voter ID card or Aadhaar card.

No visa required here

Apart from Bhutan and Nepal, there are some countries where passport is necessary but visa is not required. In total there are 58 travel destinations across the world where you can travel without a visa. These countries include Maldives, Mauritius, Thailand, Macau, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Kenya, Myanmar, Qatar, Cambodia, Uganda, Seychelles, Zimbabwe and Iran.
