In case of minors, the passport is valid for five years or till they turn 18, whichever is earlier. After this, they can opt for online passport renewal, in which minors aged 15 to 18 years have the option to obtain a full-validity passport lasting up to 10 years.
Online way to renew your passport (renew your passport online)
-Go to the Passport Seva website.
-Register as a new user or log in if you are an existing user.
-Click on ‘Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport’.
-Select ‘Click here to fill the application form’.
-Fill the required details including applicant, family and address information.
-Enter emergency contact details and previous passport details.
-Submit the form.
-After submitting the form, proceed to pay the passport renewal fee and schedule an appointment.
