In such a situation, the Ministry of External Affairs has issued an advisory for the people going to make passport. Under this, people have been asked to be cautious of fake websites making passports. The Ministry of External Affairs has given the list of six fake passport making websites on the passport service providing website. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that people are being cheated in providing passport related services. Many fake websites are not only charging huge fees from applicants for filling the online passport application form and scheduling appointments, but are also collecting their data.
For the last few months, in the name of making passports in the country, many gangs have created other sites similar to the passport making website. This kind of gang is also giving quick appointments and Rashid to the people, but the form is not submitted in it. People feel that their form has been submitted and there is a delay for months. Whereas, it is something else. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, every month more than 100 people are falling victim to these fake websites. Keeping this in mind, people are being made aware.
Be cautious while making passport.
It is worth noting that to get your passport made or for services related to it, login only to the official website of the Ministry of External Affairs www.passportindia.gov.in. Apart from this there is no other website. Whereas, the official mobile app is mPassport. Along with this, the Ministry of External Affairs has advised not to visit fake websites while applying for Indian passport and availing related services. Nor make any payment related to passport services.

According to the notification, many websites registered with *.org, *.in, *.com domains are fake. www.indiapassport.org, www.online-passportindia.com, www.passportindiaportal.in, www.passport-india.in, www.passport-seva.in, www.applypassport.org and many other similar looking websites exist. Which is fake.
