It takes a lot of time to get a PAN card made through the offline process. But citizens can make e-PAN which is made quickly. E-PAN is given to the taxpayer on the basis of Aadhar card.

All the information given in Aadhaar, name, date of birth, gender, all should be correct. The information of e-PAN and Aadhaar should match. The taxpayer will also have to provide the mobile number linked to his Aadhar card. One time password or OTP will come on this. This mobile number should be verified.
How to apply for instant e-PAN?
To make an e-PAN card, first go to the Income Tax Department website www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.
– Click on Instant e PAN appearing at the top of the quick links.
– After this, read the given guidelines carefully. Then click on Apply Instant e-PAN.
– After this the user will be told what mistakes should not be made while filling the form.
– Now after entering your Aadhaar number on the New e-PAN page, select the Confirm checkbox and click on Continue.
– Click on ‘I have read the terms and agree to proceed’ on the OTP validation page.
– Now enter the 6 digit OTP received on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
– Select the checkbox to verify Aadhaar information with UIDAI and click on Continue.
– On the Validation Aadhaar details page, select ‘I accept’ checkbox and click on Continue.
Along with this, you will also get a confirmation message on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
Note down the acknowledgment ID for future reference.

To download e-PAN card, log in to the e-Filing portal with your user ID and password. After that click on View/Download Service e-PAN on the dashboard. Now enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and click on Continue. After entering the OTP you can download your PAN card.
