What are the rules for minor PAN card?

According to the rules of the Income Tax Department, a minor cannot apply for his/her own PAN card. Only parents can apply for a minor PAN card.

How to apply for minor PAN card

• Go to the official website of NSDL.
• Now here you have to fill Form 49A. Before filling this form, you have to read the instructions carefully.
• After this you will have to upload the age certificate of the minor, signature of the parents and photo of the parents.
• Now to get a PAN card made, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 107.
• As soon as you pay the fees you will get a receipt number.
• You can easily check the status of PAN card through the receipt number.
