New Delhi. PAN Card is necessary for all income taxpayers. It is a document that plays an important role in financial transactions. Be it digital transactions, opening a bank account, taking any kind of loan, it is required in all.
Apart from this, PAN card is also mandatory for depositing or withdrawing more money in the bank account, credit card and debit card.
The 10 digit Permanent Account Number (PAN) is recorded in the PAN card. It is in alpha numeric number. It is calledIncome TaxIt is issued by the department. The department keeps a record of all PAN cards.
Change your photo sitting at home like this
If your PAN card has become very old or it has an old photo or a bad photo, then now you can change it yourself sitting at home. In this way, you can change your photo online.
-To change your photo on PAN card, first go to the official website of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL).
– On the website you will see two options Apply Online and Registered User.
– After clicking on Apply Online, the option of changing the existing PAN card will have to be selected.
– For this, you have to click on ‘Correction in existing PAN’ option.
– After this, choose the category in which individual option will have to be selected.
– After this, fill the information asked on the screen and enter the captcha code and submit it.
– Now you have to choose KYC option.
– After selecting this, you will see two options on the screen – photo and signature mismatch. If you want to change the photo, then choose the photo and if you want to change the signature, then choose the signature option.
– After this, fill the details asked from you.
– After filling all the information, your ID proof, photo and other documents will be asked for, soft copy of which will have to be attached.
Do not forget to take a print out of this form because it is necessary to send a copy of it to the Income Tax PAN Service Unit. Only after this the process will be completed and the photo in the PAN card will change after a few days.
