Pan Aadhar Link : The deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar card has been extended several times by the Income Tax Department. Now the deadline to link PAN and Aadhaar is 31 March 2023.
The Income Tax Department has warned many times. Now the Income Tax Department has given a warning that till March 31, 2023, if PAN is not linked with Aadhaar card, it will not remain active. The PAN of the PAN card holders will be deactivated. Between April 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022, the card could be linked by paying a fine of Rs 500 per link. Now for linking PAN and Aadhaar, the Income Tax Department will have to pay a fine of Rs 1,000. Only after that he can link PAN card and Aadhaar.
Link Aadhaar with PAN in time
If you still haven’t linked your Aadhaar card with your PAN card, you can still keep your PAN active by paying a fine of Rs 1,000. If you do not have income tax website then first create your account. Set up your ID and password.
Follow these steps to link your Aadhaar PAN online.
- Visit the official Income Tax e-filing website www.incometax.gov.in.
- Login to the Income Tax Portal using your login details.
- – A pop-up window will appear.
- If not, go to Profile Settings from the menu bar and select the option of ‘Link Aadhaar’.
- – A new window will appear.
- Here you enter your PAN number, Aadhaar information, name and mobile number.
- After verifying the details, select the option ‘I agree to validate my Aadhaar details’.
- Now click on the ‘Continue’ button.
- One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Fill the information on the screen and press the button of Validate.
- After paying the penalty, your PAN-Aadhaar linking work will be completed.
