Correct PAN details online sitting at home
For correction of any kind of details in PAN card, PAN users have to visit the portal of NSDL. The Income Tax Department has made the online process of correction in PAN very easy and does not take much time. PAN users can also correct their details while sitting at home.
How to change name, phone number, date of birth in PAN card
- PAN users visit the NSDL website link https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html.
- Select the ‘PAN Correction’ option from the ‘Application Type’ dropdown and fill in your personal details.
- After this enter the captcha code and then click on submit.
- Now you will receive a message with the token number.
- After this click on Continue with PAN Application Form. You will see the online PAN application page.
- Check your details in the preview form, make necessary changes and then proceed for payment.
- After entering all the details and making the payment, a receipt will be generated. You have to print it and submit it to NSDL e-gov office along with physical proof of documents.
No charges for correction
of Aadhaar details till June In case of mismatch of Aadhaar details, Aadhaar users can also visit online My Aadhaar application or official website of UIDAI. The free service for correcting Aadhaar details is applicable for the next three months till June 14, 2023. Earlier, users had to pay a fee of Rs 50 for updating Aadhaar.
How to change name, date of birth, address in Aadhaar
- Login to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ using your Aadhaar number and enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent to the registered mobile number.
- Click on ‘Update Document’ and the details of the Aadhaar user will appear.
- Now verify the details, if correct, click on the next hyper-link.
- Select Proof of Identity and Proof of Address document from the dropdown list.
- Upload copies of the same to update his/her documents.
- The list of updated and acceptable documents is available on the official website of UIDAI.
