The Jharkhand Finance Department has given its consent to the proposal to link the teachers and employees working in the universities of Jharkhand with the old pension scheme.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Higher Education has demanded expenditure burden from all the universities under the old pension scheme. Apart from this, the Directorate of Higher Education has also demanded that how many officials, teachers and employees have been allotted Permanent Retirement Account Number (PRAN) in the university so far.
Along with this, deduction has been made from his salary under the contributory scheme. In the light of the Directorate’s letter, except Ranchi University, almost all the universities have made available the expenditure and other desired information. The directorate has again sought detailed information from Ranchi University. So that further action can be taken.
The Government has not withdrawn the said letter :
In the case of the university, the letter sent by the state government regarding the new pension scheme in the year 2020-21 has not been withdrawn yet. The Directorate of Higher Education will have to cancel the said letter first. After this the old pension scheme (before 2004) can be implemented.
Technical problem in the case of teachers, employees and officials appointed after 2004
In the State University, there is a technical problem in the case of teachers appointed after 2004, office bearers and employees appointed on compassionate grounds, including about seven hundred and fifty teachers of 2008 batch appointed from JPSC. The reason for this is that the state government has sent letters to all universities in the year 2020-21 informing them that the university employees appointed after 2004 are in the new pension scheme.
After receiving the letter from the government, the teachers, office bearers and employees appointed on compassionate grounds protested saying that the appointment took place after 2004, so why is the information about the implementation of the new pension scheme and reduction in the university being given in the year 2020-21. . Later, the teachers approached the Jharkhand High Court regarding this.
