Old Age Pension News: The state government is working on a plan to give good news to the residents of Jharkhand. State Chief Minister Hemant Soren said in his address that they are working on providing old age pension to people who soon reach the age of 50 years.
He also said that earlier Rs 1.30 lakh was available under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. But now under this scheme you will get a benefit of Rs 2 lakh. 30 lakh applications were received in the camp of your scheme, your government, your door programme.
Pension of Rs 250 to 300 in other states
Chief Minister Soren said that whatever you buy, there is tax on it. The tax money goes to the central government only. The poor people of the state were forced to live in darkness. The people of the state do not get old age pension and many people also died. Then started giving pension at the age of 60 years. But now the work of giving old age pension will be done only at the age of 50 years. He also said that neighboring states Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal are giving monthly pension of Rs 250 to Rs 300 to senior citizens. But we are giving pension of Rs 1000.
Jharkhand developed after separation
He said that everyone knows how much development the previous government did. The government was strongly opposed to a separate state. We fought for this. Now everyone knows how much development Jharkhand has achieved after becoming a separate state. Inflation has increased because of the capitalists.
Even salt became expensive. First the vegetables and pulses disappeared, now even the plate has disappeared. A camp was organized under the Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapki Adhikar, Aapki Dwar programme. Efforts were made to solve everyone’s problems. Jharkhand is called the golden bird. Where there is mineral wealth, 40 percent of the minerals of the entire country are in Jharkhand alone.
Do cow-goat rearing work
We have worked to provide employment to people in private companies in the state. The central government sold all the companies to the capitalists. We cannot provide jobs to everyone, so we have come out with a plan for business and employment. You can also buy a car and drive it on rent. That’s why the work of providing vehicles was also done, the farmers are working hard. Rear hens so that eggs do not come from other states. Take care of cows, goats etc.
Current Pension Scheme in Jharkhand
Universal Pension Scheme is being run by the Government of Jharkhand for the people of economically and physically weaker sections. Under the scheme, pension benefits are given to the elderly above 60 years of age, widows, disabled people and people of tribal community of the state. Under this, Rs 1000 is given to the beneficiaries every month.
To join the scheme, the age of the elderly should be more than 60 years. At the same time, the age of the widow should be more than 18 years. For registration in pension, the needy has to fill the application form and submit it to the concerned block office. Pension benefits are given to eligible beneficiaries only after scrutiny of the application.
