Noida International Airport will start from 17 April 2025, flight ticket booking will start from this month

Noida International Airport : You will be able to go to Singapore, Dubai and Zurich from Noida. Yes, Noida International Airport is going to start from 17 April 2025. About 30 flights are expected to fly on the first day, out of which 25 will be domestic and 3 international destinations.

Apart from this, 2 flights will be fixed for cargo movement. Discussions are going on on international routes for the airport and it is expected that the initial international flights will be to Singapore, Dubai and Zurich (Switzerland). Zurich is also special because it is the head office of the company operating the airport. For domestic flights, major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Dehradun, Hubli, and Hyderabad will be connected to Noida.

More international routes will be included

According to Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), some airlines have applied for international routes. However, their approval will depend on bilateral agreements with all countries. Talks are also going on with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for slots for domestic routes. The airport’s partner airlines, IndiGo and Akasa Air, are making plans for different destinations in collaboration with DGCA and International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Tickets will be available 90 days in advance

Tickets for international flights will start being available 90 days in advance. Whereas, booking for domestic flights will start 6 weeks before the inauguration of the airport. The concessionaire company will apply for the aerodrome license in December and its approval from DGCA is expected by March 2025. That is, if it is launched on April 17, then ticket booking will start by the end of January.

Specialty of Noida International Airport

The first phase of the airport will have one runway and one terminal on 1,334 hectares of land, which is designed to serve 12 million passengers annually. It will have the capacity to handle 1 lakh flights and 2.5 lakh tonnes of cargo. The project is planned to be developed in four phases so that more facilities can be added in the future. The airport’s terminal space will have an area of ​​1 lakh square meters, which will include 28 aircraft stands.

Apart from this, a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) hub will also be built on 40 acres and a multi-modal cargo hub on 80 acres. This will be the second largest airport in Delhi-NCR, which will provide passengers with more flight options. Connectivity with different cities of the country and abroad will also increase.
