Flat buyers will get relief after the commencement of registration in societies where registration was stalled due to dues to the authority. Following the recommendations of the Amitabh Kant Committee recently, the decision of the UP Cabinet has provided relief to the defaulting builders. Builders have started depositing the dues. After this, the registration work will be started by setting up a camp on behalf of the authority.

Out of 57 builders, 13 came forward to deposit the dues.

There are more than 1900 flats in the 13 group housing projects where registration will start. As the authority receives the outstanding amount, the registry of builders will be opened accordingly. Authority Chairman Manoj Singh said that out of 57 builders who have dues, 13 came forward to deposit the dues. Along with giving written consent, these builders have also started depositing 25-25 percent of the outstanding amount.

These builders have zero dues to the authority!

In the information given by the authority, it was said that 4 builders have deposited 25 percent of the dues through DD. Five builders will deposit 25 percent of the money in the coming two months. Apart from this, there are also 4 builder projects whose dues were very less. When he applied, he got a zero period of two years and the dues became zero. In this way four projects were removed from the list of defaulters.

Registry was pending even after Supreme Court’s decision

Buyers trapped in many projects of Noida have been waiting for registration for the last 5 to 7 years. Buyers were getting worried due to lack of agreement between the authority and the builder on the interest rate. Recently, even after the decision given by the Supreme Court, the builders were not coming forward to deposit the outstanding money. Later, on the basis of the recommendation of Amitabh Kant Committee, the UP government found a solution to the problem.

Plan ready to start registry

Noida Authority CEO Dr. Lokesh M said that the work of registry of stalled flats will start at the same pace as the money is deposited by the defaulting builders. It is being said that registration will be done continuously in the registry department of the camp. By setting up a camp and starting the registration work, the work will be completed faster and people will be able to get ownership rights of their flats.
