New Vande Metro: PM Modi to flag off India’s 1st Vande Metro service in this state, check the fare and route

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Ahmedabad today, 16 September. PM will flag off the country’s first ‘Vande Metro’ service between Bhuj and Ahmedabad as well as many other Vande Bharat trains.

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the second phase of the metro rail service connecting Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar and will ride the Vande Metro. So let’s know the route, timing and fare.

What will be the route of Vande Metro?

The Vande Metro to be flagged off by PM Modi will run on several routes including Kolhapur-Pune, Pune-Hubli, Nagpur-Secunderabad, Agra Cantt to Banaras and Durg to Visakhapatnam. According to a press release from the PMO, the first 20-coach Vande Bharat train will run between Varanasi and Delhi. This metro route will reduce the travel time between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar considerably. Passengers can reach Gift City in Gandhinagar from Vasna APMC in Ahmedabad within an hour at a cost of just Rs 35.

This metro will run on eight stations of Gandhinagar.

This metro train will provide metro rail connectivity from Motera in Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar. A corridor of one phase will go up to Gift City. Which is up to 21 kilometers. Initially, the metro will run on eight stations of Gandhinagar. In the coming time, the metro will go to Secretariat, Akshardham, Old Secretariat, Sector 16, Sector 24 and Mahatma Mandir.

Know the timing here

According to Western Railway officials, the Ahmedabad-Bhuj Vande Metro service will stop at 9 stations and will run at a speed of 110 kmph. It will cover a distance of 360 km in 5.45 hours. Officials said that it will depart from Bhuj at 5:05 am and reach Ahmedabad Junction at 10:50 am.

More than 30,000 people will get their own house

PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth more than Rs 8,000 crore in Ahmedabad during his Gujarat tour today. On this occasion, PM will also inaugurate the fourth edition of Re-Invest 2024 in Gandhinagar. PM will also inaugurate a 30 MW solar system, Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station, 35 MW BESS Solar PV Project in Kutch and 220 kilovolt substations in Morbi and Rajkot today.

Prime Minister Modi will approve over 30,000 houses under PMAY-Gramin and release the first instalment for these houses, as well as launch the construction of houses under the PMAY scheme.
