On Thursday, Southern Railway shared the picture of the first journey of Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat train through its official X handle. Sharing the picture, Southern Railway wrote, “The magnificent new Vande Bharat is on its first journey from Ernakulam Junction to KSR Bengaluru City Junction.”

It is noteworthy that after a long wait, the railways started a special Vande Bharat train service between Ernakulam and Bengaluru on Wednesday. This service will run three days a week till August 25. This train will depart from Ernakulam on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and from Bengaluru on Thursday, Saturday and Monday.

Talking about the Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat train timetable, the train will leave Ernakulam at 12:50 pm and reach Bengaluru Cantonment station at 10:00 pm. On the return journey, the train will leave Bengaluru Cantonment at 5:30 am the next day and reach Ernakulam at 2:20 pm. The route includes stoppages at ten stations.
There was a demand for Vande Bharat on the Ernakulam-Bengaluru route.
This train has been introduced in view of the huge demand of passengers on the Bengaluru-Ernakulam route. The introduction of Vande Bharat train is a relief news for the passengers of this route. However, Southern Railway has assured that these issues will also be resolved with the introduction of the sleeper of Vande Bharat train.
