Pensioners are troubled by low pension

NAC President Commander Ashok Raut (Retd) has said that these pensioners are living in distressed conditions due to very low pension and are losing their dignity in their family and society. According to the statement, that is why on July 20, the national president of the organization Ashok Raut and the members of the Central Executive Committee have announced a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar. To garner further support, pensioners across the country will also go on hunger strike at prominent places on the same day.

The minimum pension should be Rs 7,500.

Pensioners are demanding a monthly basic pension of Rs 7,500 with dearness allowance, free health facilities for the pensioner’s spouse and a monthly pension of Rs 5,000 by including retired employees who do not come under the purview of EPS 95. .

12 percent goes to the provident fund

It is noteworthy that 12 percent of the basic salary of the employees coming under the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 95, goes to the provident fund. At the same time, out of 12 percent of the employer’s share, 8.33 percent goes to the employee pension scheme. Apart from this, the government also contributes 1.16 percent to the pension fund.
