The Reserve Bank of India has announced the withdrawal of 2000 notes from circulation in May and 30 September has been set as the last date for depositing these notes in banks. But, the question in the minds of the people is whether this deadline will be extended further? The parliamentarians have asked this question of the public to the government. However, the Finance Ministry has made it clear that the last date for depositing Rs 2000 notes in banks will not be extended, ie till September 30, you should deposit Rs 2000 notes kept with you in banks.
In the monsoon session of Parliament, many MPs including NCP MP Supriya Sule asked many questions to the government regarding the 2000 notes. In response to this, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary answered all the questions.
