In such a situation, a decision has been taken to reduce the speed limit of vehicles on Noida and Greater Noida Expressway. This speed reduction rule will be applicable from 15 December to 15 February. A traffic officer has given this information.
Noida-Greater Noida Expressway is about 24 km long. The speed limit of light vehicles on both these expressways will be reduced from 100 km per hour to 75 km per hour. The speed limit of heavy vehicles will be reduced from 80 to 60 km per hour. Along with this, on MP 2 Elevated Road, the speed limit for light vehicles will be 50 km per hour and the speed limit for heavy vehicles will be 40 km per hour.

Delhi Traffic Police Deputy Commissioner Yamuna Prasad said that during winters, visibility reduces due to fog. Due to which driving vehicles becomes difficult. At the same time, due to cold, the roads also become slippery. Due to which the possibility of accidents increases. Therefore, to avoid any untoward incident, the speed limit will be reduced on Noida Expressway and Greater Noida Expressway. Let us tell you that recently a car met with an accident. In which three people died. The number of accidents increases as soon as the cold season arrives. Therefore, the speed limit is being reduced.
Information will be given to the people
People will be informed to reduce the speed of vehicles. For this, boards will be installed at various places. Blinkers will be installed to protect from fog. Apart from this, reflectors will also be installed to protect drivers from accidents.
Speed ​​limit will be reduced on 6 major roads
In view of the effect of fog, the speed limit will also be reduced on 6 major roads of the city. These include Master Plan Road Number-1 DND Toll Plaza to Sector-57 Chauraha, Master Plan Road Number-2 Sector-18 to Sector-60 Underpass, Master Plan Road Number-3 Kalindi Kunj to Sector-122, Road Number-6 Sector-62 Model Town Roundabout to Sector-71 Underpass and DSC Road i.e. Dadri-Surajpur-Chhalera Marg. The speed limit of light vehicles on these roads has been reduced from 80 to 60 kilometers per hour. Similarly, the same speed limit will be applicable on other 75 meter wide roads.
