New Rules From 1st August 2024 : There are some changes on the first date of every month. Here we are telling you about those changes which are going to be implemented from 1st August 2024. These changes are going to affect your pocket.
There will be a change in the price of LPG gas cylinder on 1st August. Also, there is going to be a change in HDFC credit card charges. Know here what changes will happen from August 1.
LPG gas cylinder price
Gas cylinder prices are fixed on the first of every month. The prices of commercial and domestic gas cylinders are fixed on 1 August. Last month, the government had reduced the prices of commercial gas cylinders. This time too, it is expected that the government will fix the prices of gas cylinders.
There will be a change in the rules of HDFC Bank’s credit card
Customers using CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik, Freecharge and other such services to pay for fare will be charged 1% on the transaction amount, limited to ₹3000 per transaction. Fuel transactions will not attract any extra charge for transactions less than ₹15,000 per transaction. However, transactions above ₹15,000 will attract 1% on the entire amount, limited to ₹3,000 per transaction.
There will be changes in the rules of utility transactions
No extra charge will be levied on transactions less than ₹50,000. Transactions above ₹50,000 will attract a 1% charge on the entire amount, limited to ₹3000 per transaction. Transactions made through third party apps like CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik and others will attract a 1% charge, limited to ₹3000 per transaction.

The late payment charge process has been revised based on the outstanding amount from ₹100 to ₹1,300. Availing the Easy-EMI option at any online or offline store will attract an EMI processing charge of up to ₹299. HDFC Bank will implement the changes in its Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus credit cards from August 1, 2024. From August 1, 2024, Tata New Infinity HDFC Bank Credit Card users will get 1.5% NewCoins on eligible UPI transactions made using the Tata New UPI ID.
Google Maps changed the rules, reduced the charges by 70%
Google Maps has made significant changes to its rules in India, which will be applicable across the country from August 1, 2024. The company has reduced the charges for its services in India by up to 70 percent. Along with this, now Google Maps will charge for its services in Indian rupees instead of dollars. However, this change will not affect the common users as no additional charge has been levied on them.
Bank Holiday in August
The month of August is about to come. In the year 2024, banks will remain closed for a total of 13 days. These include all Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays. In the month of August, banks will remain closed for six days due to weekends. Apart from this, seven days holiday will be due to various festivals. Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15, Rakshabandhan on August 19 and Janmashtami on August 26.
