There is good news for the passengers going to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. Railways has announced a new gift for the devotees and tourists traveling to Vaishno Devi from Jammu and Kashmir. The new route of Vande Bharat Express will be started between Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar.
This state-of-the-art train will be operated by the Northern Railway Zone. This train will be the first semi-high speed train for the Kashmir Valley and the third for the Jammu region. Earlier, a Vande Bharat train has been run between New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.
How much time will the trip take
According to a report by ET Now, this train developed by Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF) will have a route of about 100 km, which it will cover in just 2 hours 30 minutes. Currently, there is no direct train service available between Katra and Srinagar, due to which this new service will be a big convenience for the passengers.
What will be the time table
This train will start from Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station at 8:10 am and reach Srinagar at 11:20 am. On return, it will leave Srinagar at 12:45 pm and reach Katra at 3:55 pm. This train will be run under the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project.
This Vande Bharat will have special design and facilities
Keeping in mind the challenging weather and altitude of Jammu and Kashmir, this Vande Bharat Express has been specially designed. It will have heating facilities for the passengers so that they do not face any problem due to cold in the water lines and coaches in winter.
How much will the fare be
According to the report, the fare of AC chair car is likely to be between Rs 1500-1600 and the fare of executive chair car is likely to be between Rs 2200-2500. This train will be started soon. At present, trial run is going on on Katra-Raisi section. The final date will be announced after the approval of Railway Safety Commissioner (CRS).
The launch of the new Vande Bharat Express is a big step towards making the Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra more easy and comfortable. If this train runs fast on the tracks, it will prove to be a precious gift for the passengers.
