The total cost of the 3 RRTS corridors is estimated to be more than Rs 91,000 crore, with the Center and the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan also contributing to the project. Giving information about this project, a senior government official has said that the Transport Department of Delhi Government has issued a draft cabinet note for amendment in the Delhi-Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror corridor, in which the Planning Department , Their detailed response has also been sought from the Law Department and Finance Department.

He said that after the projects get Cabinet approval, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) can be signed with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) regarding both the corridors.

According to the payment schedule submitted to them in the information given to the Supreme Court, the Delhi government will have to pay Rs 6199 crore as its contribution for both the corridors over a period of 6 years. It has already paid Rs 1180 crore (and Rs 80 crore plus GST) as its share for the Delhi-Meerut line.

If we talk about Delhi to Panipat route, the distance is 103 kilometers. There will be a total of 16 stations from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Panipat North.
