New Rapid Rail: The country’s first rapid rail will run between Delhi and Meerut. Most of its work has been completed and very soon rapid rail will be seen running on this route.
India’s first rapid rail has been named RapidX. A new report says that this train will continue to be available for passengers every 5 to 10 minutes. Times Now reports that work on the Delhi Ghaziabad Meerut corridor has been completed up to 17 kilometers and will be made operational in May. RapidX will run with six coaches and all these coaches will be AC. In this, 450 passengers can travel simultaneously.
In this, one coach will be premium and the rest will be for women passengers. In this train, the facility of charger etc. for mobile to electric goods will also be provided. Officials told Times Now that the entire corridor is set to open to the public in 2025. However, the priority road of 17 km from Sahibabad to Duhai will be made operational soon.
With its opening, passengers will be able to complete their journey in just 12 minutes, while after the completion of the entire corridor, the travel time will be reduced from three hours to just 50 minutes. It has also been said in the reports that 8 lakh daily passengers are expected to come in this corridor.
Earlier on April 28, officials had told PTI that the stations of RapidX, India’s first regional rail, would be in the shape of blue and beige spectrum of peacock feathers.
