Optional Holiday for Central Government Employees: Holiday has been announced for central employees. According to the rules issued in the order, the employees will get the benefit of 14 compulsory holidays along with 3 optional holidays. For this, an order has been issued by the DoPT.
Order has been issued
It has been said in the order that during the year 2024, the holidays given in the order will be celebrated in all the central government offices located in Delhi and New Delhi. Apart from this, each employee will also be allowed to choose any 2 holidays in the optional holidays. There is no change in the holiday dates for Id-ul-Fitr, Id-ul-Zuha, Muharram and Id-e-Milad for Delhi and New Delhi offices. It will depend on the sighting of the moon.
