The city of dreams, Mumbai, is going to get the gift of a new metro line. This new line will be known as ‘Aqua Line’, which will also be Mumbai’s first underground metro line. This metro line also has a special connection with Delhi Metro. Know every detail related to this metro line here…

This new line of Mumbai is 33.5 km long. It will start from Aarey Colony and go till Cuffe Parade. There will be around 27 stations on this line. This line is going to be operational this month.

It will be operational from 24th July

Mumbai Metro’s ‘Aqua Line’ is planned to start operations from July 24. This information has been given in an update on MyGov.in. It will connect Colaba-Bandra-AEEPZ. This line will change the entire picture of Mumbai’s traffic. It will help in reducing congestion from some of the busiest areas of Mumbai.

It will pass through these 27 stations

27 stations have been built on this metro line. Out of these, 26 are built underground. The metro line will pass through Cuffe Parade, Vidhan Bhavan, Churchgate, Hutatma Chowk, CST Metro, Kalabadevi, Girgaon, Grant Road, Mumbai Central Metro, Mahalaxmi, Science Museum, Acharya Atre Chowk, Worli, Siddhivinayak, Dadar, Shitladevi, Dharavi, BKC, Vidyanagari, Santacruz, Domestic Airport, Sahar Road, International Airport, Marol Naka, MIDC, SEEPZ and Aarey Depot.

Metro service on this line will be available from 6:30 am to 11 pm. The frequency of metro here will be every 5 minutes. The train will run at a speed of 90 km per hour on the metro line. It will take about 50 minutes to complete this journey of about 35 km. It takes about 2 hours to complete this journey by road.

Connection with Delhi Metro, this much cost

The cost of building this line of Mumbai Metro is about Rs 37,000 crore. The maintenance and operation of this line will be handled by Delhi Metro for about 10 years. According to ET, it will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of this line. Everything from management to control center and safety of passengers will be handed over to Delhi Metro.
