Indore is the cleanest city in the country

Indore, which is called the cleanest city of India, is now on the path to becoming beggar-free. For this, the administration has taken a strict step. From January 1, an FIR will be registered against anyone who gives money to beggars.

Awareness campaign will be run

Collector Ashish Singh said that the administration has already issued an order to ban begging in Indore. He said that our awareness campaign against begging will continue till the end of this month. From January 1, if any person is found begging, an FIR will be registered against him. He appealed to all the residents of Indore not to become partners in this sin by giving money to beggars.

10 cities of the country are included in the pilot project

The project covers 10 cities: Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna and Ahmedabad. During the anti-begging campaign, the Indore administration made some shocking revelations. Project officer Dinesh Mishra said that when we prepare the report, we find that some beggars have permanent houses. Also, some of their children work in banks.

The beggar made it his profession

Once we found Rs 29,000 with a beggar. Another beggar used to lend money and charge interest. A gang had come here from Rajasthan with children to beg. They were rescued from a hotel where they were staying.

Helping beggars to get jobs

Madhya Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha said that an organization from Indore has come forward to help the government in this effort. This organization will provide them shelter for six months and try to find work for them. We are working tirelessly to free people from begging. This is a commendable initiative that can help make Indore a truly beggar-free city. But the success of this scheme will depend on how much people cooperate with the administration.

He said that if people do not stop giving money to beggars, then this scheme will not be fully successful. At the same time, it is also important to hear that the rehabilitation of the people who are being rescued should be done properly. They should get employment opportunities and proper living facilities.
