The first driving and automobile training center has been built on the Agra-Mathura highway under Public Private Partnership (PPP). After getting approval from I-CAT, RTO officials inspected the center.
Testing and training will start here with modern machines from March. Till now, to get a driving license in Agra, one has to drive the vehicle manually i.e. one has to demonstrate driving. RI conducts the test in the police line. The facility of mechanized test is available only in Mathura in the division.
Mobile training center is ready,
now applicants have to take driving license in Agra also through Vardaan Driving and Auto Mobile Training Center located on Agra Mathura Highway. Here, they will have to give test with modern machines in the presence of instructor. MD of the center Sanjeev Prajapati told that the first center on PPP model in Agra is ready in the division. It has a staff of 10 people including trained instructor, two track operators, two computer operators. Here, separate testing tracks have been made for heavy vehicles, light vehicles, two wheelers and three wheelers. Drivers of heavy vehicles will also be given training here. For this, a prescribed fee will be charged from RTO.
60 cameras on four tracks
The first center in Agra has also received technical approval from I CAT, Gurugram. 60 cameras have been installed on four tracks. The activities of the trainees will be captured in these. CCTV cameras have also been installed at the center. On Monday, RTO (Administration) Arun Kumar, ARTO Nanak Chand, RI Satyendra Kumar did a technical inspection of the center.
Driving tests will start here soon.
RTO officials said that soon license applicants will have to give driving tests at this center. Online certificate will be issued from here, which will be sent to the RTO. Only after this the license can be made.
