These documents will be needed
When you are thinking of getting your child’s Aadhaar card made, you will first need the child’s birth certificate or discharge slip of the government hospital. Let us tell you that for the Aadhaar card of small children, it is mandatory for one of the parents to have an Aadhaar card. You may need to visit Aadhar Seva Kendra for biometric authentication of your child below 5 years.
Biometric of children below 5 years is not developed
Let us tell you that the biometric of children below 5 years of age does not develop properly. Biometric information means fingerprint and iris. That’s why it becomes very difficult to extract biometric information of children below 5 years. But, if your child’s age is above 5 years, then you can get his biometric information updated.
These steps have to be followed
- First of all you have to go to UIDAI.gov.in.
- Then you have to click on the Aadhaar card registered link.
- After that you have to enter the personal information of the child like name, phone number, email id.
- After that you will have to enter information like place of birth, address, district and state of the child.
- Aadhaar card is issued from the center of UIDAI itself, so you have to go to the Aadhaar center to complete that process. For this, you have to click on the option of fix appointment.
- Now you have to choose the date according to your convenience, on which day you can visit the nearest center.
- Then you have to select the nearest Aadhaar center.
- Once the complete information is entered, then after that the parents have to re-check all the information of the child like name and date of birth etc. so that no mistake remains. If there is any mistake, then correct it and then click on submit.
