New Delhi- A big update has come regarding the Rs 50 note. Soon a new Rs 50 note will be seen in the market. In fact, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said on Wednesday that it will soon issue new Rs 50 notes with the signature of Governor Sanjay Malhotra.
Malhotra will succeed Shaktikanta Das in December 2024, who resigned after completing his extended term. “The design of these notes is similar to the Rs 50 notes of the Mahatma Gandhi (New) series,” the RBI said in a statement.
All Rs 50 notes will remain legal tender.
All Rs 50 notes previously issued by the Reserve Bank of India will remain legal tender.
