The government has issued a tender for providing digital ticketing facility in the buses plying on the roads of Delhi. It is expected that within 3 months, tickets will start being available in buses from Electronic Ticketing Machine (ETM). With this card, passengers will be able to travel in the metro.

With the implementation of the NCMC card, neither people will have to stand in line for the token, nor will there be crowd at the entry and exit of the metro station. With the implementation of the common mobility card, metro and bus service fare, toll and parking charges will be paid through a single card. It can also be used for retail shopping and withdrawing money.

The Delhi government is preparing a digital ticketing system for the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) in cluster buses run by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and the Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DMITS), according to a report in . After the implementation of this system, the manual ticket system will end.

With the implementation of NCMC, passengers will be able to buy various types of tickets and monthly passes for digital ticketing. With the implementation of NCMC card, passengers will not have to worry about keeping open money for tickets, nor will they have to pay cash repeatedly for tickets. With the facility of traveling in buses by paying online through cards, the problems of the passengers will be reduced to a great extent.

According to media reports, NCMC cards will start running in all Delhi buses in the next two-three months. At present, there is no facility to make digital payments in DTC buses. Many changes will have to be made to provide NCMC facility in old buses. New ETMs will be installed in about 7400 buses of Delhi to start NCMC facility.
