Namo Bharat train will start on more routes in UP, these districts will get direct benefit

Namo Bharat Train in UP: Preparations are now underway to run Namo Bharat trains for short distances in big cities like Kanpur-Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. This will reduce the distance between one district and another and increase connectivity. The Railway Ministry has started preparations for this. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave information about the proposed schemes of UP through a virtual press conference.

According to the plan, Namo Bharat train will be seen running between short distances like Lucknow to Kanpur and Meerut-Saharanpur. These trains will be given stoppage at all major stations. These trains will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and all AC bogies will be installed in them. This will make it easier for passengers to travel.

Rapid growth in UP rail network

While giving information about Uttar Pradesh, the Railway Minister said that the Railway Ministry has made a provision of Rs 19858 crore for this budget. Along with this, an investment of Rs 1.04 thousand crore is also being made in the state. He said that the development of double, triple lines and Amrit Bharat stations is also being done rapidly in the state.

Work is being done to increase rail connectivity in UP. Ashwini Vaishnav said that in the last ten years, 5200 km of new lines have been laid in UP. Not only this, 157 stations are being developed under the Amrit Bharat Yojana. On the expansion of railways in the state, he said that 14 Vande Bharat trains are passing through 20 districts in UP. During this, the Railway Minister also praised UP CM Yogi and said that the UP Chief Minister is also fully supporting in expanding the rail network.
