There is great news for the people living in Delhi-NCR. Namo Bharat Train is going to run soon from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can inaugurate this section-4 of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor on January 5.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), police and administration have started preparations for this. Earlier the inauguration was to be held on 29 December, but it was postponed due to the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Sources said that according to the possible program, the Prime Minister will reach Hindon Airbase by air. From here he will reach Sahibabad station of Namo Bharat train by road. After buying the ticket, the Prime Minister will board Namo Bharat and reach Anand Vihar station and inaugurate it. The route of Namo Bharat train from Hindon Airbase to Sahibabad station is about 6.5 km long. The Prime Minister’s convoy will be taken out by creating a green corridor at this distance.
Two thousand soldiers including four companies of PAC will be deployed
According to sources, a large number of civil police personnel will be deployed on both routes of the Prime Minister along with four companies of PAC. Policemen and gazetted officers will also be deployed from outside districts. Sahibabad Namo Bharat station will be completely under the security of SPG. Police and PAC personnel will be deployed for external security. The list of those who will be present with the Prime Minister in Namo Bharat has almost been finalized.
Chief Minister may also be involved
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath may also attend the program. However, till now the written program regarding the arrival of the Chief Minister has not reached the local police-administrative officials. Nevertheless, the officials have started preparations.
Will run from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar
13 km of the Delhi section of the Delhi-Meerut corridor is ready. The train will run from Sahibabad to Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar. With this extension, this route of the RRTS corridor will increase from 42 km to 55 km with 11 stations.
