Mumbai Pune Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the much-awaited Vande Bharat Express trains on the Mumbai-Solapur and Mumbai-Shirdi routes on 10 February. Both the trains will start from Mumbai (CSTM) station and will reduce the travel time between the two cities.
Mumbai to Solapur Vande Bharat Express will travel via Pune, Mumbai to Shirdi Vande Bharat Express will travel via Nashik. Both connect important cities of Maharashtra. In fact Mumbai is the only city in India that has three Vande Bharat Express trains, one of which connects Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
Of these, the Mumbai-Pune route is expected to be one of the busiest routes to be served by the semi-high speed train. Mumbai and Pune are well connected by road network. Mumbai is one of the most well connected cities in India through rail and air routes. People in Pune have to travel till Mumbai to avail these services.
There is a chance of happiness for the residents of Pune with the commencement of Vande Bharat Express on this route. Actually, PM Narendra Modi appreciated the celebration at Pune railway station. The Vande Bharat Express train from Mumbai to Solapur via Pune will cover the distance between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Pune in 3 hours, reducing the travel time from 4 hours to 3 hours.
Mumbai-Pune-Solapur Vande Bharat Express: Route
Vande Bharat Express train going from Mumbai to Solapur via Pune will cover the distance in 5.30 hours. Mumbai-Pune-Solapur Vande Bharat Express will leave at 4.05 pm and reach Pune at 7.10 pm. Vande Bharat Express will reach Solapur at 22.40 PM, while the train journey from Solapur will start at 06:05 AM and reach Mumbai at 12.35 PM. This train will reach Pune at 9.20 am.

The fare for non-catering chair car on the Mumbai-Pune route will be Rs 560 and for AC chair car will be Rs 1,135. Solapur tickets will cost Rs 965 and Rs 1,970 respectively.
