The government has given a big gift to the railway employees before Diwali. Employees will get 78 days bonus as Diwali gift. Employees will get 78 days salary as bonus. Recently, the government had announced a 4% increase in dearness allowance for central employees. Along with this, 4% dearness relief i.e. DR for government pensioners was also increased.
The decision of Diwali bonus was taken in the meeting of the Union Cabinet. This was announced by Union Minister Anurag Thakur. He told that 11 lakh 27 thousand employees will be given 78 days performance link bonus of 1 lakh 8 thousand 32 crores which is Diwali bonus. Along with this some other important announcements have also been made.

According to an estimate, Rs 1,832.09 crore will be given to railway employees as Diwali bonus. The salary calculation limit prescribed for payment of PLB is Rs 7,000 per month. Every railway employee will get the maximum amount 17,951 for 78 days.

Anurag Thakur said that a grant of 22 thousand crores has been given to Indian gas companies for the new effect of gas inflation in the international market on the people. It has been decided to build a container terminal on PPP model and to manufacture multi-purpose cargo at Deendayal Port of Gujarat. It has also been decided to make the registration of Multi Purpose Cooperative Society easy and transparent.
PM Divine Scheme has also been approved. Under this, Rs 6600 crore has been approved. This is a completely centrally sponsored scheme.
