Mother Dairy Milk Price Hike: Mother Dairy currently sells 35 lakh liters of fresh milk per day in Delhi-NCR. The company last changed the prices of its liquid milk in February 2023. The price hike for all types of Mother Dairy milk has come into effect from June 3 in Delhi-NCR as well as other markets.

After Amul , now Mother Dairy has also given a shock to the pockets of the customers. Mother Dairy has announced a hike of Rs 2 per liter in milk prices in Delhi-NCR. The reason for this is said to be the increase in cost in the last 15 months. The increase in the price of all types of milk has come into effect from Monday, June 3 in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) as well as other markets. On June 2, the Amul brand had announced a hike of Rs 2 per liter in milk prices.

Both major milk suppliers have increased milk prices just after the completion of the voting process for the Lok Sabha elections . The election results are to be announced on June 4. Mother Dairy has said in a statement that the increase in consumer price has been done mainly to compensate the producers for the increased production cost, which has been increasing for more than a year.

What will be the price of Mother Dairy milk in Delhi-NCR now?

In Delhi-NCR, Mother Dairy’s full cream milk will now be available at Rs 68 per litre, while toned and double toned milk will be available at Rs 56 and Rs 50 per litre respectively. Buffalo and cow milk prices will be Rs 72 and Rs 58 per litre respectively. Token milk (bulk vended milk) will be sold at Rs 54 per litre.

How much milk does Mother Dairy sell every day?

Mother Dairy currently sells 35 lakh liters of fresh milk per day in Delhi-NCR. The company last changed the prices of its liquid milk in February 2023. The company said, “Despite paying higher prices for the purchase of milk in the last few months, consumer prices have been kept unchanged. Apart from this, the heat has been extreme across the country and this is likely to further affect milk production. According to Mother Dairy, it spends an average of 75-80 percent of the income from milk sales on procurement. This helps in ensuring the continuity of ‘dairy farming’ and availability of quality milk.

Amul milk new prices

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets dairy products under the ‘Amul’ brand, has announced a hike in milk prices by about Rs 2 per liter across the country. The increased prices came into effect from June 3. GCMMF said that it has not increased milk prices since February 2023 and this increase in prices is being done due to increase in the total cost of production and operation of milk. After the latest increase, the price of 500 ml buffalo milk of Amul has become Rs 36, 500 ml Amul Gold milk has become Rs 33 and 500 ml Amul Shakti milk has become Rs 30.
