Milk Price Hike: The government has increased the price of Nandini milk and curd by Rs 4 per liter. Let’s know which milk is cheaper among Mother Dairy, Amul and Nandini milk available in the country’s capital Delhi?

The government has once again shocked the common people. In fact, after increasing bus and metro fares, the state government has now increased the prices of milk and curd. The government has approved a hike of Rs 4 per litre in milk prices from April 1. Karnataka’s Animal Husbandry and Sericulture Minister K. Venkatesh took this decision on March 27 in response to the continuous demands of farmers, various organizations and the Animal Husbandry Department.

From April 1, the price of one litre of Nandini Milk Toned Milk in Karnataka will now be Rs 46, which was earlier Rs 42. Apart from this, the price of curd has also increased by Rs 4, after which it will now be available at Rs 54 per litre. The state’s milk federations have welcomed this move of the government.

These will be the new prices of Nandini products

  • – Toned milk: Increased from Rs 42 to Rs 46 per liter.
  • – Homogenized toned milk: Increased from Rs 43 to Rs 47 per liter
  • – Cow’s milk (green packet): Increased from Rs 46 to Rs 50 per liter.
  • – Shubham milk: Increased from Rs 48 to Rs 52 per liter.
  • – Curd: Increased from Rs 50 to Rs 54 per liter.

Earlier, on March 5, the Karnataka government had said that it was going to increase the price of the popular Nandini milk supplied by KMF in the state. On February 10, the Karnataka State Raita Sangh and the Green Brigade protested at the KMF office in Bengaluru, demanding that the minimum milk procurement price be increased to Rs 50 per litre.

Earlier in June 2024, the price of Nandini milk was increased by Rs 2 per liter. Minister K.N. Ranjana said that steps will be taken to ensure that the price revision amount reaches directly to the milk producers of the state.
