Meta-owned WhatsApp (WhatsApp Business) has joined hands with metro rail service providers of various Indian cities for WhatsApp chatbot. This means that users will be able to avail many services of Metro through WhatsApp Chatbot sitting at home.

The services of WhatsApp chatbot are available for the passengers of Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune Metro. Using this service, people can book, buy, cancel or top-up their metro tickets. Apart from this, passengers can get train time table, route map, fare and other information.

How to use WhatsApp chatbot for metro services

Users in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune can chat with the bot in local language or in English. For example, to activate the chatbot in Bengaluru, users need to click on the link https://wa.me/+918105556677 and send a message by typing ‘Hi’. Once the bot is activated, you can get a URL from it to book an e-ticket. In Mumbai, e-tickets will have to be verified at the Automated Fare Collection (AFC) gate.
