The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) board meeting has approved an increase of Rs 5 in the fare of the Rapid Metro. Now the fare fixation committee has been informed about this decision.
It is believed that the metro fare will be increased this month. The minimum fare in Rapid Metro is Rs 20 and the maximum fare is Rs 35. Now the minimum fare will be Rs 25 and the maximum fare will be Rs 40. This increase in fare has been done according to the fare fixed by Delhi Metro Rail Limited (DMRC) for Delhi Metro. This increase in fare has been done after 10 years.
According to sources, the Rapid Metro’s revenue has increased by 22.82 percent this year compared to last year. Recently, this meeting of HMRTC was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Vivek Joshi. In this, HMRTC Managing Director Dr. Chandrashekhar Khare presented the progress report of the Rapid Metro. It was told that the fare of the Rapid Metro has not increased for 10 years.
The fare hike was approved in the HMRTC board meeting. Now the increased fare will soon be implemented in the Rapid Metro. Please note that the Rapid Metro is available every 4.30 minutes to 5.20 minutes during peak hours.
11 stations on the 12.85 km route
The length of the Rapid Metro running on Golf Course Road is 12.85 km. It has 11 stations. The Rapid Metro runs from Cyber City located on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway to Sector 55-56. Most passengers travel from Sector 55-56 Metro Station. Sikandarpur Metro Station is connected to the Yellow Line of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
Chief Secretary gave orders to increase revenue
The Chief Secretary has issued orders to the Managing Director of HMRTC to increase revenue through Rapid Metro. He has been ordered to put up advertisements on the stations and pillars of Rapid Metro.
Rapid Metro can be booked for parties
Rapid Metro can be booked for birthday parties. The fare for organizing this event is Rs 24,000 for one hour, while the fare for one and a half hours is Rs 30,000. There is a facility to book the metro for film shooting. Rapid Metro can also be booked for school programs. Rapid Metro has three coaches. The office of Rapid Metro is near Moolsari Avenue station.
