At the same time, the government has also given permission to fill 12 cylinders in a year. How much will be the burden on the central government

With this decision of the central government, the total expenditure for the financial year 2022-23 will be Rs 6,100 crore and for the financial year 2023-24 will be Rs 7,680 crore. These companies are already giving this subsidy

All major oil marketing companies Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) are giving this subsidy from 22 May 2022. The Central Government has said in its statement that there has been an increase in the prices of LPG due to many reasons. In such a situation, it is necessary to protect the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana from this. For this reason, subsidy has been approved, due to which poor families will get a big relief.

LPG consumption increased under Ujjwala scheme

The government said that it will continue to give subsidy under the Ujjwala scheme. That is, the beneficiaries of this scheme will continue to get the benefit of LPG subsidy.
