LPG Price Hike: The price of LPG cylinder has increased further. The new price has come into effect from December 1, 2024. However, this increase has happened only in the case of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder.
According to Indian Oil, now the price of Indane commercial LPG cylinder has increased to Rs 1818.50 per cylinder in Delhi. Earlier it was Rs 1802. The price of commercial gas cylinder has increased for the 5th consecutive month.
Talking about other metro cities, the price of 19 kg LPG cylinder in Mumbai has increased from Rs 1754.50 to Rs 1771, in Kolkata from Rs 1911.50 to Rs 1927 and in Chennai from Rs 1964.50 to Rs 1980.50 per cylinder.
There is no change in the price of domestic LPG
There is no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder. The price of Indian Oil’s non-subsidized Indane cylinder remains Rs 803 in Delhi, Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.50 in Mumbai and Rs 818.50 in Chennai.
The 14.2 kg gas cylinder is used for cooking at home. The gas cylinder used in non-domestic places like electricity generation, transportation, poultry, industries, restaurants etc. is a commercial LPG cylinder.
Commercial LPG was last cheaper in July
The price of commercial LPG cylinders was last reduced in July this year. After that, the price has been increasing continuously since August. On July 1, 2024, the price of Indane commercial gas cylinder was Rs 1646 in Delhi. By adding the new price hike, this cylinder has become costlier by Rs 172.5 in Delhi so far.
