LPG Price on 1 August 2024 : Common people are going to get a shock after the budget. Oil marketing companies have increased the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder by Rs 8.50.
Companies have not changed the prices of 14.2 kg domestic cylinder but have made the 19 kg commercial cylinder expensive. According to the IOCL website, these changed rates have come into effect from today, August 1, 2024.
LPG cylinder became costlier by Rs 8.50 – New gas prices from August 1, 2024
Today is the first day of August. The prices of LPG cylinders are decided on the first of every month. Oil marketing companies have increased the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder by Rs 8.50 from today. The price in Delhi has gone up to Rs 1652.50. In Kolkata, the cylinder will be available for Rs 1764.50. In Mumbai, the cylinder will be available for Rs 1605. In Chennai, the cylinder has become Rs 1817.

The price of domestic 14 kg cylinder remained unchanged
There is no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder. It is available in Delhi for ₹ 803, in Kolkata for ₹ 829, in Mumbai for ₹ 802.50 and in Chennai for ₹ 818.50. For general customers, its price in Delhi remains Rs 803 while for Ujjwala beneficiaries, its price is Rs 603.

Earlier the rates of cylinders were reduced in June and July

On July 1, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder was reduced by 30 rupees. The price in Delhi was Rs 1646, in Kolkata the cylinder was Rs 1756, in Mumbai the cylinder was Rs 1598, in Chennai the cylinder was Rs 1809.

On June 1, oil marketing companies had reduced the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder by Rs 72. Then the price was Rs 1676 in Delhi, Rs 1787 in Kolkata, Rs 69.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1629 in Chennai.
