Oil companies have increased the price of ATF i.e. jet fuel by 5 percent. Whereas, the prices of commercial LPG used in establishments like hotels and restaurants have been increased by Rs 209. But, for common consumers, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders have not been increased.
Commercial gas cylinder becomes costlier by Rs 209
After the oil companies increased the price of commercial LPG gas cylinder by Rs 209, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has now become Rs 1,731.50 in the national capital Delhi and Rs 1,684 in Mumbai. Let us tell you that earlier the commercial LPG cylinder prices were reduced by Rs 100 in the month of August and by Rs 157.5 in the month of September. The reason for increase in LPG prices is due to the impact of crude oil supply.
Jet fuel ATF price increased by 5%
Jet fuel i.e. Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) has been increased by 5 percent from October. This is the fourth consecutive monthly increase after July. Let us tell you that on September 1, the highest increase so far was 14.1 percent i.e. Rs 13,911.07 per kiloliter. Whereas before that on August 1, there was an increase of 8.5 percent or Rs 7,728.38 per kiloliter.
Fear of increase in air ticket price
The hike in ATF prices in the national capital Delhi has seen an increase of Rs 5,779.84 per kilolitre, or 5.1 per cent, taking the price from Rs 112,419.33 to Rs 118,199.17 per kilolitre. Jet fuel is a major component of an airline’s operating costs, accounting for 40 percent of total expenses. The increase in ATF prices puts additional financial pressure on airlines that are already facing financial challenges. It is estimated that airlines may increase ticket prices.

Domestic lpg cylinder price
It is important to note that the prices of domestic LPG gas cylinders used in domestic kitchens for cooking have not been increased. The price of domestic LPG used for cooking is Rs 903 per 14.2 kg cylinder in the national capital Delhi. Let us tell you that on August 30, the government had reduced the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 200, after which the LPG cylinder which was available for Rs 1103 is now available for Rs 903.
