Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji will be celebrated with great devotion tomorrow on November 15 across the country. In this regard, Nagar Kirtans are also being organized in cities on different days. Accordingly, orders have been given to keep meat and liquor shops closed for two days in Kapurthala district.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Amit Kumar Panchal has ordered to keep meat and liquor shops on the route of Nagar Kirtan at Phagwara on November 13 in view of Nagar Kirtan being organized dedicated to the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. .
Apart from this, orders have been given to keep meat and liquor shops closed near religious places in Phagwara sub-division on the day of Prakash Purab on November 15. These orders are issued in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Code, 2023.
