On the occasion of Guru Ghasidas Jayanti, the state government has announced a public holiday. Government offices will also remain closed on this day. After this, the next public holiday in December will be on 25 December (Christmas).
Why is December 18 a dry day?

Police and administration have been instructed to be extra vigilant to prevent illegal liquor sale.
